Finland Visa Types
Based on the duration of stay, the Finnish visas can be classified as follows -
- Short term - Also known as the Finland Schengen visa, this type is issued for stays of up to 90 days in a 180-day period. They are issued as single-entry, double-entry, or multiple-entry. Based on the purpose of the visit, there are the following Finland Schengen visa types -
1. Finland Tourist Visa - These are issued for individuals travelling to the country to take part in tourist activities such as sightseeing, adventure activities, leisure activities, and so on.
2. Finland Business Visa - This permit is issued to people visiting Finland for the purpose of engaging in business activities.
3. Finland Visitor Visa - For people whose motives are to visit their family members or friends living in Finland, a visitor permit is a way to go.
- Long term - For long term duration, Finland does not issue visas. Instead, they issue a residence permit. These include study, work, family reunion, etc.
Document Required for Finland Visa
Each type of the Finnish permit has a different set of document requirements. However, the general documents required for Finland visa are as follows -
- A passport valid for at least 6 months from the expected date of travel
- Old passports, if any
- 2 passport size photographs
- Travel itinerary
- Confirmed round trip flight tickets
- Proof of accommodation
- Travel medical insurance covering 30000 Euros
- Proof of occupation
- Proof of sufficient funds such as bank statements, ITR, etc.
Photo Specifications for Finland Visa
The photo specifications for Finland Visa are as follows
- Finland visa photo requirements size - 35mm X 45mm
- Colour: Coloured
- Head must occupy the central position
- Must be captured within the last 3 months
- Background: Solid, plain white or grey
- 80% face coverage
- Neutral expression
- Glasses: Non-thick framed and prescription are permitted
- Headgears are allowed only for religious reasons
- Facial hair is permitted
